#CODA An Inspirational Film About Manifesting One’s Destiny

I had the luxury of pre-screening the movie CODA, an original Apple movie, on Apple TV, thanks to @Gofobo.

This heartwarming film is about a teen named Ruby who, with some encouragement from her high school choir teacher, chose to follow her dream of becoming a singer and attending Julliard College of music.I found it heartwarming, encouraging and supportive of manifest destiny theory.

In the movie Ruby tries to gain her families acceptance of her dream but finds it difficult because she is the only hearing member in her family. Her older brother, mother, and father are all deaf.

They have no idea of her talents and in their world sound does not exist. Her family operates a small fishing operation where she serves as their only link to the world of sound.

Ruby’s family doesn’t understand her love of music or singing and she does not know how to get them to relate but based on the support of her peers and her teacher they soon learn that she has talent and choose, in the end, to support her endeavors.

Along her journey Ruby even helps her family to understand that all though limited they too should pursue their dreams of expanding their fishing operation and encourages them to try because despite being deaf they are capable, they are opinionated, and they are intelligent enough to do so. Her family feels like they can’t deal with those who can hear but guess what ever since she was born they have done it.She encourages them and just like her they too must try in order to fulfill their dream despite feeling incapable or insecure.

I enjoyed the movie it was an Sundance film festival award winning film and I can see why. It moves very smoothly and you hardly notice the long length. There are so many lessons involved. The movie contains elements of love, understanding, compassion and acceptance. It also highlights some of life’s important decisions like the choice to pursue a dream or go to college.

The main messages I feel is this “trying is the first step towards making a dream come true”.

“You can never never know if you have what it takes if don’t try.”

This is a great movie to inspire and encourage people to pursue their dreams. At times it may be hard you may feel you are not good enough but if you try the universe sometimes will make your way. It will help you see things differently than you would if you didn’t try. I believe this is called manifest destiny.

You must give effort despite being afraid or unsure so that the universe can give you guidance and show you more options.Once you try you will begin to understand that failure is only one option not the only option.

Check out his heartwarming movie on Apple TV. Watch it with a loved ones and be inspired. Maybe you too will gain the courage to manifest your dreams. You must try.

“WEIRD KID” A Project By “Lokye” & “The Super Robot KING”

I always like to post about entertainment and this artist is very entertaining. This project “WEIRD KID” by “Lokye & the Super Robot King” is awesome.

This isn’t trap rap and is not Future or Lil Yachty. It is a little more relaxed and they describe their project as being something that was “made to tell the story of an individual. A story that resonates with artistic individuals, punks, nerds, and skaters. The outcast building their tribe across the vast landscape. The story is told with a smooth melody and thought-provoking metaphors. In the epic journey, in the end, we are a sum of all of our experiences (love, lust, inspiration, creation, discussion to destruction.) It’s the circle of life from a perspective of a WEIRD KID.”

When listening and watching the videos of Lokye it reminds of the group “Gym Class Heroes” or an artist by the name of “Ninja Sonic” who made the song “Art School Girls”

Great projects always come with an interesting back story. Usually inspired by a beautiful or unusual setting like a haunted house or a beach vacation.

For this project “Lokye” wrote most of the project at “Granny’s Chandelier Art Gallery” in Hamtramck, Michigan and received help from producer “Mack got Tracks On Tracks ” and a trumpet player from Chicago Jamal Porch. This combination of creators helped Lokye find this perfect blend of musical goodness for weird kids all over the world to enjoy.

The “Super Robot KING” produced, mixed, and mastered this indie boom-bap soundscape in beautiful Hawaii and Lokye helped by lending an ear. Their creation is what he calls a psychedelic wonderland for the ages.

If you are into mood music and smoking weed this album is definitely for you. The vibe is wavy and the stories come from the heart.
I say Yes to this.

“Fashion Film Maker”: “Mina Luna Vincent”

Mina Luna Vincent artist, film director , musician , screenwriter, producer on Supa Fly Mag
Mina Luna Vincent artist, film director , musician , screenwriter producer and novelist who has created sark, spanish language fantasy titles such as the gothic film Estremecer, Leojs De Ti'

Have you heard of “Mina Luna Vincent”, the Mexican Born, artist, fashion film maker , musician , screenwriter, producer and novelist? If no then this post is definitely for you.  Mina started with studying at minor art gallery expositions and doing fashion photography in the U.S.A. She did that from 2002-2008. More recently in 2019 and 2020 she has been working on movies and fashion film visuals.

Below is some info that I found about her at IMBD.com

“During her study period, she worked for an advertising company as an Art Director and created campaigns from the inception to take charge of all the creative aspects of productions. Also during 2008 she founded Black Xolo Films, a film company specializing in creating promotional videos for some of the largest fashion industries in Australia, America and Mexico. Black Xolo Films also promotes the Fashion industry, promotes tourism, LGBTIQ+, Femmenism, Documentals, short films, animation and 3D. She continued her career in the Film and Photography after migration towards Melbourne, in 2016. She has worked with labels such as Mossman, Once Was, and Sketchers and has comprehended her work which includes promotional videos for models Natalia Kalinowski, Odna Gerel, and Meika Woollard. Her workings were also highlighted in Elegant Magazine, L’Oréal Color Awards night 2020, and 2020 Virgin Australia’s Melbourne Fashion Festival.”

Recently she has created dark, Spanish language fantasy titles such as the gothic film “Estremecer, Leojs De Ti’” released in 2020 and before that she worked on the popular 2019 Australian released, animated short movie, “The Space Is Your Pleasure“.

These are some very interesting titles in my opinion.

Do you like dark gothic movies? Do you like animated films?

What about fashion videos?

Mina was recently used as a director for some dope “L’oreal Color Trophy 2020 fashion visuals”. These are popular. I have seen some of these before while surfing online myself. These videos are seen and enjoyed by critics of the highest caliber and feature top models and influencers. These short video clips showcase Mina’s keen eye for incorporating engaging frame crops and attractive angels into her work that draw the viewer into the media and keep them looking on. This is a highly desired skill. To see what I am writing about take a look below at these post from her instagram. They are really good.

“BUNGA BUNGA” Audio Screening 2020

Bunga Bunga Review @supaflyone

I was recently invited to join a listening party by “Gofobo” that took place on  9/1/2020. If you don’t know what Gofobo is….it is a company that promotes and advertises media releases that sometimes gives away passes to see movies in theaters a few days early.

I have received quite a few over the years and I encourage others to join their email list. I believe they branched out with something new for this listening event. Usually the events are in person screenings it was an audio screening.

The production was created by a company called “Wondery” who is the producer of audio books.

The screening featured the first chapter from a 6 part series audio book titled “Bunga Bunga”. The audio book gives detail on the rise and fall from political power of Silvio Berlusconi, “Italian Media Magnet and Prime minister” Brittanica.com, who was known for things like sex parties.

I do not want to give a lot away but I am  surprised that I have not heard more about Mr. Berlusconi. He was extremely popular in Italy and he was a big influence on the world. I learned that he recently died this year in 2020.

I always like to get invites and I hope that Gofobo continues to send me more. you should sign up too. I read… so the audio book experience was not bad for me I actually enjoyed presentation. It was to simply say different. The piece was orated by Whitney Cummings and at the end I got to see a Q&A with her and the creator. That was a plus. The Q and A portion allowed for me to see the people who created the production, get to know them a little bit,  and get some questions on my mind answered like why they were moved enough to create the “Bunga Bunga” production.

If you are a history buff like me, like audio books, or reading I highly recommend checking out this series. Look up the term “BUNGA BUNGA” I am sure it will spark some interest.
