“Tiramisu And Cassata Cake” In “Little Italy” Cleveland, Ohio

Are you into Italian cuisine and deserts?

A good day and location to try some authentic Italian eats in Cleveland, Ohio is at the annual “Feast of the Assumption” in little Italy that takes place on Mayfield Road.

I like to try new eats and I am always looking for my next favorite thing. This year 2022 I visited little Italy in Cleveland, Ohio located on Mayfield road during the Catholic feast of the assumption celebration. The streets were crowded with people and lined with food vendors. Before attending I decided on 3 dishes that I was going to purchase no matter what the cost. Cheese pasta, Cassata Cake and Tiramisu which I had never had before.

I have tried cassata cake before and on quite a few occasions. I liked it very much. Tiramisu on the other hand is something that I have not had and after reading up on Italian deserts it is popular so I decided that this would be the best time to try it and that it would not be hard to find. Almost all the food vendors at the celebration sold desserts including tiramisu so I had to choose where I was going to get my dishes from and this was not easy but I do have a method.

Things I look for when choosing a vendor to shop with are cleanliness of the food booth, how well the food Is handled, and the presentation of the dishes.

All the food tables were neat and clean at the festival. All vendors seem to have good knowledge about safe food handing practices which was to my liking but …that did not make my decision making any easier. Instead I had to rely more heavily on my other criteria which was visual presentation.

Don’t get me wrong …presentation does not mean very much when it comes to food but without any previous suggestions or recommendations I had to go with what appealed to me most.

I ended up choosing the “Tiramisu” from “La Dolce Vita” and “Cassata Cake” from “Presti’s Bakery”. The deciding factor for the Tiramisu was that it had a nice swirling whipped topping that was neatly done. Others looked similar but most lacked this little feature. I chose to get the Cassata cake from Presti’s because it looked nice, was fluffy, and had a really thick layer of whipped cream. Both were extremely delicious and were very rich in flavor.

Also if you are looking for an awesome cheese tortellini check out “Mia Bellas”. I had that this day as well and it was delicious.

Style Shoot “Gucci” X @SupaFlyOne 2022

I was hired by a modeling agency to wear a piece by Gucci. I was given full creative freedom so I did what I thought was best for me. I was not chosen to be used in the published piece by the agency so…I decided to post the photos myself.

I was informed that this was a true authentic Gucci piece and that the agency was hired to market it. I have not heard from the agency in a while but I hope what they said is true and that I receive more opportunities like this one.

I am wearing a yellow gold tone Choker by “Gucci”.

Also, Coach has been one of my favorite brands of the past few years as well as Asos. In this style shoot I am wearing items from both brands. They are partners of SupaFlyMag.com.

“Madama Butterfly” “The MET Opera Live HD Experience” July 2022 By @SupaFlyOne

Can you speak Italian? Can you understand Italian Operas?

If not… neither can I but opera is one of my recent artistic interests and good for me and my study of the classical art The MET Opera (The Metropolitan Opera) : Live HD 2022-23 season has captions. I was able to follow along with the show. Many operas are written and performed in Italian did you know that?

In this post I address What the Opera is about? What did I think about the show over all and give my thoughts about my experience viewing it at the movie theater?

Opera incorporates singing and theatrics and if I am not mistaken maybe a little dance as well such as ballet. I am trying to invest more time watching and learning about classical style arts. I have always been into history and as I am getting older I find that I like to experience things of leisure like other ritzy people throughout history.

“Madama Butterfly” Is the opera that I saw. It was playing at a theater as a part of The Met Opera Live HD experience. This opera was performed and pre-recorded in 2008.

This particular opera by description resonated with me due to a few things. It was based in Japan, featured an American soldier, and the main plot was a relatable one that has been relevant for all time. It is the story of a mother, a child, and a distant unreliable unfaithful father. A relationship problem that still occurs and happens today and in similar ways.

The performance was great. I am not expert in the great voices of opera but the vocals of the singers were loud and strong. The music was very emotional and I really liked the sound of the orchestra. The musicians of the MET are some of the best players in the world and they sounded great.

The set designs were intriguing and this performance even incorporated elements of classical Japanese performance such as people dressed in all black, who were to be “unseen”, that animated objects physically such as birds and other puppet like animals.

I really like how they visualized the blood at the end of performance. I believe that this is a tragedy opera. You must check it out to see what I mean.

The screen was large and the video was clear. The ticket was $25. Pricey for a movie but this is not just a movie it was a MET OPERA performance. You could hear and see everything very well.

This movie theatre was clean and even offered very comfortable reclining chairs. I chose to eat some nachos and have a drink before the show started because I arrived early. I do not like to eat during movies or performances because the noise can be distracting and can make it hard for one to hear things clearly.

The audience of the movie theater was quiet and attentive. I would guess they behaved in the same way that people would at a live show. They even applauded at the end.

The performance was long, over 2 hours, and just like at a real show, thankfully, there was a 15 minute intermission for attendees to stretch, maybe grab some refreshments, and use the restrooms. I really needed the break it can be hard for me to sit comfortably for long periods of time.

During intermission people even chatted a little about what they thought so far about the performance and also shared about their previous opera experiences which was dope. These interactions and gave a sense of community.Although I am sure that a live performance would be a little more exciting and include a lot more viewers it was still very exciting.

If you see me at a screening be sure to chat with me. I would love to hear some interesting facts about your opera experiences. I am usually alone and could use some acquaintances to join at future events such as this.
